Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a file with dots in filename, i. e. "some.file.txt".
2. Copy this file use context menu or Ctrl+C hotkey. 
3. Paste this file to the same folder.
4. Got unexpected result - file with filename "some (copy).file.txt", while "some.file (copy).txt" is expected.


Version: Nautilus 2.30.1.
