GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 623347
OutOfMemoryException when importing photos from camera
Last modified: 2010-07-08 18:20:19 UTC
I was importing 900-something photos from my camera. Approx at 2/5 of the stack f-spot crashed with OutOfMemoryException. See last part of debug output in attached file.
Created attachment 165077 [details] Debug output ofr OutOfMemoryException crash.
What kind of jpegs are those (which camera). Looks like one of those nasty bugs in Imaging that cause it to go crazy. Fortunately, that should be fixed when we move to Taglib# (soon), but we might want to test one of those files to be sure.
jpeg is whatever my camera produces, I could send you some. I use max details and size. Camera is Canon EOS 40D.
40D should be supported (I think we have a test case for those). Hang on until Taglib# lands, problem should be fixed then.
This should be fixed now in git master. Please reopen in case this still happens (and if possible upload such a file somewhere).
