This happens when selecting a HHD in the list. See screenshot.

I think the problem comes from the "SMART State" value, which is:
> Le disque présente quelques secteurs endommagés.
(which means: Disk has a few damaged sectors.)

Since this is very long, and (I guess) the HBox is homogeneous, the other column also gets too wide, with much wasted space.

Solutions:
- fix French translation, but I suspect other languages might have the same issue
- add a translator comment about a max whar width
- make the English string shorter, e.g. "A few damaged sectors"
- make the HBox not homogeneous, which may not be that ugly actually

No, that's not the same issue as the other bug. There, they're talking about vertical space (scrollbars). Here it's horizontal.

I think it makes sense to keep them separate because the solutions are really different (see my suggestions above).

Sorry, I didn't read correctly the other report! The 1024x600 vs. 1024x768 thing was misleading.
