Description Jonathon Jongsma 2010-06-17 02:37:51 UTC
When I download a file in epiphany, a status icon apears in the notification area. But the icon does not disappear after the download is complete. Clicking on the icon brings up an empty download dialog with all actions disabled. It doesn't even disappear after I close the last epiphany window. And there's no way to manually get rid of the icon.

Running epiphany 2.30.2 on debian.

I can confirm this in ubuntu maverick using the same epiphany version.

Change the status to NEW
Comment 2 Maciej (Matthew) Piechotka 2010-08-02 07:28:41 UTC
The same with 2.31.x here. Additionaly:

 - if last window was closed then running epiphany does not open new one
 - on logout I'm asked if I want to abort downloads
Comment 3 Alexandre Franke 2011-01-06 19:44:56 UTC
I can reproduce this. One additional detail: it happens when focus is on another window and seems linked to notification.

For instance, when I download a PDF attachment from my webmail, Evince opens and steals focus.
* if I switch back to Epiphany before the notification bubble disappears, the download manager window closes as expected.
* if I keep Evince on top, the download manager window will remain open as described in comment #1.

The just committed bug #618443 (new downloads UI) makes this bug(s) obsolete.
