Description Boris Hollas 2010-06-15 13:48:23 UTC
Input: ps documents that starts with pagenumber 1 on sheet 9. The sheets 1-8 have roman numbers.

Select page 1. The page number box shows "1", the field on the right shows "9 of 215".

This is confusing when printing. The print range dialog expects page numbers in the latter format. Thus, to print the "logical" pages 10-20, you have to enter 18-28. Print range should indicate physical as well as logical pages in this case.
Comment 1 Christian Persch 2010-06-15 14:54:07 UTC
The "page number box" actually shows page labels, if the file has them.
Comment 2 Karl Relton 2010-10-25 11:21:00 UTC
I second the reporter. When going to print a certain page, it seems more natural to want to use the logical page rather than the physical number, and a pain to calculate in ones head. Of course I know that gives a potential ui head-ache when a user wants to print a physical page that is outside the documents regular 'logical range', but that shouldn't stop us devising a way of doing it.
