GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 619251
Can not open an embedded link in a mail
Last modified: 2010-06-21 03:31:30 UTC
I receive mails with an embedded link in it, and when I click on the link emphaty/firefox is opened but can not parse the link. If I copy the link in evolution (right click and copy link), open the web browser and paste it, it works fine. The HTML code in question is as follows. <td width="50%" align="left" valign="middle"> <a href="http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=redirect&o=reaemailalert&to=http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch%3fa%3do%26id%3d106558993%26rsf%3demailalert-propdetails" title="View this property on realestate.com.au" style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px; font-weight:bold; color:#000000; text-decoration: underline;" >38 MCEWEN DRIVE , SUNBURY</a> </td> click on link directly results in following link in web browser : http://www.rs.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=o Which is probably due to a erroneous link, and the web site defaults to a specific web page. If I on the other hand, copy the link from the mail (right click and copy), and then paste it into a web browser it works fine. copy : http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=redirect&o=reaemailalert&to=http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch%3fa%3do%26id%3d106558993%26rsf%3demailalert-propdetails Paste in Web browser result : http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-vic-sunbury-106558993?rsf=emailalert-propdetails This makes it very inconvenient for me to open links sent to me. I just upgraded to 2.30.1.2 in Debian
