I am forwarding this bug from downstream https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer0.10/+bug/566815

The original bug reporter says no swf files can be played, but I have not confirmed that. I have confirmed the attached swf file will not play.

I tried opening this file using totem and I get this error:

Closing this as notgnome, filed bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37587 with swfdec.

It's an ffmpeg bug, not a Swfdec bug. As can be seen, it tries to use ffdemux_swf.

Setting this to gst-ffmpeg as the most correct destination. Question is though if we should disable the ffmpeg swfdec plugin.

It's been disabled ages ago IIRC.
