Description Veit Wahlich 2010-05-16 20:52:05 UTC
Currently no means of configuring a TCP port for the DAV server exist, neither in GUI nor in gconf.

A fixed port would allow usage of gnome-user-share without altering or stopping the firewall and to manage dav:// server connection favorites. Also communication with other OS/desktops that support DAV but not Avahi/Rendezvous would become easier.

The main bug appears to be a 3.0 regression:

  https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42012

The bug is currently unavailable because kernel.org is down. Folow the thread here:

  http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.network/205328

The second part of the bug (no feedback for failure) still stands.
