Clock stops updating

The clock randomly stops for hours at a time. If I go to the clock settings and change an option it starts again.

This bug was reported downstream at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/319726 This bug was found in Ubuntu 10.04's gnome-panel package version 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu2. This bug seems to appear only when auto-hide has been enabled.
