GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 616811
block contacts in your contacts list
Last modified: 2010-10-28 07:05:04 UTC
This is not a bug but a feature request: Empathy does not allow to block contacts in the contacts list: Empathy 2.28.x (Ubuntu Karmic) up to Empathy 2.30.x (Ubuntu Lucid RC) Let's say I have X (account msn), Y (account yahoo), Z (account jabber) contacts in my contacts list. I want to chat with X & Y, X excluded: this can not be done. Needless to say, being unable to be selectively available is a serious privacy concern.
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 551911 ***

These are separate issues. Could you specify why it has been marked as bug duplicate?
Feedback anyone? This is different from Bug 551911. Thanks.
