Description Paul Menzel 2010-04-15 20:17:09 UTC
Evolution is crashing a lot lately. I do not know if it is related to the GNOME Keyring update or DBus upgrade. Can you figure that out from the backtrace below?

I am using Debian Sid/unstable Evolution version 2.28.3-1.

(gdb) t a a bt full

Program terminated with signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
The program no longer exists.

Looks like you did 't a a bt' in gdb before evolution crashed. It's not the right way. You will have to apply 't a a bt' when application crashes in gdb.

see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#gdb-not-yet-running for details
about how to do this

Sorry. Can you tell if DBus (libdbus-1-3)? It definitely showd SIGSEV in libdbus-1-3 and trying to continue it said the program does not exist anymore.
Comment 3 Akhil Laddha 2010-10-01 06:48:43 UTC
Once it says SIGSEV, it means application has crashed and at the same place, you should do 'thread apply all bt'. If you try to continue from SIGSEV, it won't proceed as application has crashed already.

Can you please check again whether this issue still happens in Evolution 2.32.0 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version"
field? Thanks a lot.
