Now that Orca has chat.py to provide general chat support, we should migrate the Pidgin script over to it.

Moving to 2.31.3. This should be an easy enough migration, but I'd like even our "unstable" releases to be as stable as possible, and 2.31.2 tarballs are due Monday....

I still need to test this a bit more, but so far so good -- modulo bug 621469, our latest instance of our borked-settings implementation biting us in the arse.
