Description Angel Abad 2010-04-07 23:32:53 UTC
In Ubuntu Karmic Szebenyi Bálint reported:

The problem raised when my home folder got full one day, after I have made enough space, the problem still exists.
After having made some space (1Gb) I launched evolution and found a whole new bunch of folders in it, like:
School
School
School12fgh
Schooldgftz
Schoolopgfh
Schooldrtebyí
Schoolewrnea
School erta rt
Schoolrtertete

schema:
existing foldernames + random characters

I have managed to erase these empty fake folders in the .evolution directory.
The problem is that I receive the same messages from my mail and gmail server as if they have not been downloaded already. Picture attached as illustration. So the new ones since the disk-full-time are received every time evolution checks for mails, which makes evolution useless.
I guess that some file or setting has been corrupted in which evolution stores the info about emails as of the status downloaded/not downloaded. Is there a way to erase this file/repair it or just by reinstalling the application can it be corrected. (in case I am right about the problem)
Because I don't know where the problem lies and evolution does not inform me about "experiencing difficulties" I cannot amend it.

After having searched around the forums and launchpad I could not find a way to avoid this problem and therefore considered it to be somewhat a bug, should I have been wrong, my apologies.
