GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 614943
Evince ignores Reverse page order option when printing
Last modified: 2018-05-22 13:51:14 UTC
I wanted to print out a PDF double-sided but my printer lacks this function so I tried to do it manually. Printed even pages, then put the paper back in and printed odd pages in reverse order. Instead, I get the first page printed on the back of the last page. It works as expected in Okular. Currently using 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 on Lucid.
I have also encountered this bug. I have some more information to add: The bug only occurs when there is an even number of pages in the document you wish to print. It also only happens if you reverse the pages i.e. if you don't reverse the pages and select "odd" the odd pages will be printed. However if you selected "reversed" and "odd" the even pages will be printed. My theory is that when "reversed" is selected the odd/even counting will start from the end rather than the beginning, this would lead to the above behaviour only being demonstrated when there are an even number of pages. Steps to reproduce: 1. Get a document with an even number of pages. 2. Select "even" and print to file. 3. Now select "reversed" and "odd" then print to file. Observe how the same pages have been printed to the file but the second in reverse order. If this is expected behaviour it should either be more obvious or changed.
present in 3.18.2 I couldn't find a way to print in reverse order, with any document
