Description igor.jakljevic 2010-03-19 16:18:50 UTC
Main problem i noticed is that i can't select language in which i want to work.
Application is force-ing my country language and i haven't found a way to change it to language i want to work with. Thats goes for UI and probably for all other modules aswell. In my case the main reason why i don't want to get forced into using my language is because i learned english quite well using other gfx applications and tools. Now without option to change it back to english its making me really confused when i want to do something, as all buttons and explanations are different, makes me really annoyed when i want to explain to someone what to use in english language, and i can't, as there is no option to turn to english one and check things under english UI. Please fix that so people can easily change to language they want to use.

examp.: English teacher who works in japan --- doing work in his language but he want to get prepared to explain students how to use something in gimp - will have problems as there is no way to see japan ui and japan translations for UI on his own computer.

examp.2: Artist who used old version from lets say 2001 will get confused because he learned english word for grid and now it shows him something in his language about what he doesn't know anything about as translators sometimes need to make totally new words to match the word from its origin ... so he would have to go asking forums and people around to find the things he would understand naturally if it was in english.

Solution: make language selection on install also atleast put it somewhere into configuration menu, so people will have option to chose from language they want to work in.
