Description Daniel Andersson 2010-03-13 19:49:57 UTC
I have set Iceweasel as the default browser in Preferred Applications.

I have also set Iceweasel as the default browser using the following commands:

update-alternatives --config x-www-browser

update-alternatives --config gnome-www-browser

gconftool-2 --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command --type string 'iceweasel -new-tab "%s"' && gconftool-2 --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/https/command --type string 'iceweasel -new-tab "%s"'

I can not find any option for "Open with..."

Right clicking the .desktop file only shows "Open"

Iceweasel opens all other links I have tried so far, from the terminal, Icedove, gnome-open etc.

I created the .desktop file by right clicking the desktop and choosing "Create launcher". I set Type to Location, type in the name test and the Location http://www.debian.org/ and click OK.
