GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 612281
bsewave playback introduces audible high frequency artifacts
Last modified: 2020-11-17 12:30:52 UTC
I've created a bsewave file from recorded piano notes. Upon playback, I hear high frequency artifacts that are not present in the original data. I'll attach two screenshots, showing playback of the notes in my own small sampler I wrote, and in beast. As can be seen from the pictures, beast has high frequency artifacts my sampler does not have. I am using samples recorded with 96 kHz sampling rate, maybe this is problem, maybe not.
Created attachment 155635 [details] Spectrum of beast playing piano notes (with artifacts).
Created attachment 155637 [details] Beast playback of piano samples (with artifacts)
Created attachment 155638 [details] Spectrum of my own sampler playing back the notes (without audible artifacts)
Fixed in stwbeast.git branch bug-612281, merge request sent.
