tar.gz with three files

Ubuntu lucid,compiz plugin xml=animation.xml
When editing the magic lamp animation .xml file for compiz..I change a single number from "3" magic_lamp_max_waves to "0".
i save the the file and several areas of the original xml have been removed.
I will attach three files original_animation.xml ...edited_animation.xml..and the terminal readout when trying to open ccsm.
This is consistent with each fresh install...or re-installation of compiz-plugins-main
Apparetnly...at least on ubuntu lucid with gedit being version 2.29.7.

first removal: start 2^15, size 2^13; second removal: start 2^18 - 2^13 * 2, size 2^13

The original xml is 354.4KB, the broken one is 338.4KB

Thanks for spotting this problem, it turned out to be quite fundamental in how we reworked utf8 handling.

It should be fixed with this commit:
