No blank transaction is displayed after completing a new transaction using the blank transaction at the end of a register.

When the blank icon is clicked no blank transaction in the register is displayed.

Closing the register and reopening the register shows the transaction was saved and a new end of register blank transaction is displayed.

Occurred after creating a new sub account.
Also occurred after creating a new split on a transaction.

Closed application and restarted.

Blank transaction is created after each entry in all registers tested.
 
Created a new subaccount in a register that I have already enterd transactions.
No blank transaction is created at end of transaction entry.

When I cut and paste a transaction from another register I do not have the blank transaction displayed. 

If I click elsewhere on the register then the blank transaction is displayed at the end of the register.

Hmm, this is certainly related to bug 589954 as it also describes the part about the blank transaction gone missing after creating a sub account.

I can't tell just like this though if the other symptoms you describe are the result of the same bug or that you perhaps describe several bugs.

So I'll leave this report on its own, but link it to the bug 589954. If the other symptoms also disappear when bug 589954 is fixed, we can close this bug as well. If not, the other symptoms are at least still reported.

These two sure look the same to me when I step through them in the debugger. It's something to do with how the register creates the "blank split", but I haven't yet figured out how that works.
