GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 610593
When file transfer is cancelled/aborted the unfinished destination files should be removed
Last modified: 2010-04-29 12:23:33 UTC
If you abort a file transfer the destination files are left in place, even though they're no complete files. Nautilus should remove the partially transferred files or at least ask if the user wants them to be removed. This bug was originally reported by Nicolò Chieffo on Launchpad in Ubuntu at <https://launchpad.net/bugs/522412>.
Another good idea would be to follow firefox example - create a 0 byte file named as the original file - transfer the original file to the directory appending .part to the name - remove .part once the file has been transferred
