Hello Andre,

as pointed here: http://git.gnome.org/browse/libegg/tree/README#n15

"As soon as a feature has been shipped in stable form in a platform library, it comes out of libegg."

So maybe it is better to wait until a stable GTK + 2.20?

No apps will break; remember that libegg is cut&paste code, not an installed library.
