Description Omer Akram 2010-02-09 14:54:30 UTC
"For one reason or another, either at the fault of Empathy or the user, one may end up with duplicate accounts with logs that they would like to be preserved, without having to keep an unused and duplicate acccount sitting in the account manager.

Accounts (on the same network?), should be mergeable"

I'm not sure to understand this request. Do you want to be able to merge contacts together? In which case this is bug #460647
Comment 2 kxra 2010-02-09 17:57:09 UTC
Nope, i mean if for whatever reason, i end up with one google talk account that had been added twice in Empathy, i should be able to merge them and their logs into one account.
Comment 3 Omer Akram 2010-03-23 10:32:43 UTC
I think better would be that empathy should not allow creation of same account twice.
Comment 4 Omer Akram 2010-03-23 11:39:37 UTC
I dont know if it was a problem before but when I add the second account with same credentials it gives a network error as soon as I press 'Apply" button so if in empathy 2.28.xx empathy added two same accounts now in 2.29.xx that dont happen so closing this bug.
