Description Cathy 2010-02-06 02:21:50 UTC
I originally installed the Gimp program about 9 months ago. After trying it I decided to uninstall the program because it was not user friendly. What I was not aware of was that when I installed the program it changed the program that was associated with each image type file extension. Even after uninstalling the program my image files are associated with GIMP. I tried changing this in Folder Options/File Types but the "change" and "advanced" buttons are not available.

All my pictures, images, drawings etc. all say the same thing -
Type of File: TheGIMP20
Description: Unknown Application

It doesnt matter what program I use to edit, view, open with etc. the type of file does not change. I want to know how to fix this. I have a Dell computer using Windows XP. I have had it now for over 2 years.

Please do something. I cannot upload my images to a certain website and this may be the reason. I have tried everything else except use a different computer.
