Description cgasmith 2010-01-28 07:38:25 UTC
gnome-terminal --tab -t "My Title" -e myscript1.sh &
produces a window, not a tab in the current terminal window

this could be due to the apparent lack of documentation for gnome terminal as the --help facility has no examples nor elaboration, neither does the gnome.org site. (all the documentation is centered on the user thru the gui, no command line invocation documents and conflicting implementation of xterm replacments, also found related bug Debian Bug report logs - #476716) citing the incorrect implementation of -e -x --command .... which cause me several hours of consternation.)
