while trying to render video project using PiTiVi.

What version of pitivi were you using ? On what distro ? What version of GSTreamer ?

OS : ubuntu jaunty 9.04
PiTiVi 0.11.3

I don't know how to determine GStreamer version.

Thanks for reporting this bug. The version of PiTiVi you are using is not the latest version, and the PiTiVi devs can only afford to investigate bugs that are reproducible on the latest PiTiVi release or the development (git) version. Your problem probably has been fixed in either of those versions, and, as such, will be marked as obsolete.
