GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 606606
Ending path with spaces results in error
Last modified: 2021-06-18 15:13:11 UTC
This is a bug report on Ubuntu Launchpad. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/505199 To reproduce : Go to nautilus, type 'burn:// ' (without ' , note the space characters at the end of the path). -------------- "Could not display "burn://%20%20/" Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs: Mountpoint Already registered Please select another viewer and try again. ------------- I guess some paths do end with space(s). However, could nautilus, if the path is not found, try to strip the ending space characters? --> clearly enhancement.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version of Files (nautilus), then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
