GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 606245
gnome-icon-theme.pc removed
Last modified: 2010-03-14 15:57:33 UTC
Any reason why gnome-icon-theme.pc has been removed? I suppose it's because it can build other icon set, for moblin or else. But I suppose the package name is still gnome-icon-theme, so, what about keeping the pc file? Some GNOME packages still requires it, such as libgnomeprintui (but that might be removed probably) I can provide a patch.
oh yeah, it was removed it commit: commit fd88a47bba6ee8c0419f9f97ce8c619e23babe89 Author: Jakub Steiner <jimmac@gmail.com> Date: Tue Oct 13 20:25:35 2009 +0200 use moblin-style 'build system'
The current build system is only temporary If you want to help with getting the pc file back, please check out the 'new-build-system' branch.
Created attachment 150992 [details] [review] build: bring back gnome-icon-theme.pc
Evolution is another candidate failing due to the missing .pc file.
Nominating as 2.30 blocker. Either this should get fixed (it's an API stability issue), or 2.30 should ship with an older g-i-t release.
Applied the patch in comment #3.
Shouldn't this be closed now? 2.29.2 comes with a .pc file.
