GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 606081
some figures embedded in .pdfs do not print (in fact, print with a strong offset)
Last modified: 2011-06-28 23:49:48 UTC
Created attachment 150819 [details] scientific article Hi, I tried to print the attached pdf document from within evince (I have experienced similar problems with other pdfs, this is just an example). All figures were printed with a strong offset, pushing them sometimes out of the page scope. However, viewing these pages in evince is totally fine. The problem only appears when looking at the print preview or printing on a .ps file (printing on a .pdf file results in a new file having the same problem: viewing is fine, printing is not). Workaround: printing from acrobat reader is fine... This problem does not occur with all types of figures in .pdf. (It seems to me I had once a doc where some figures printed fine, some not, but I haven't found it again -> not sure). I suppose it depends how they have been inserted in the pdf document or what original file type they are? I am unable to test with subsequent versions of evince as I do not have root privileges on this work computer. Thanks, Armando
I can't reproduce in evince 3.0. This bug was reported against a version which is not supported any more. Developers are no longer working on this version so there will not be any bug fixes for it. Can you please check again if the issue you reported here still happens in a recent version of GNOME and update this report by adding a comment and adjusting the 'Version' field? Again thank you for reporting this and sorry that it could not be fixed for the version you originally used here. Without feedback this report will be closed as INCOMPLETE after 6 weeks.
Closing this bug report as no further information has been provided. Please feel free to reopen this bug if you can provide the information asked for. Thanks!
