Description Xabier Rodríguez Calvar 2009-12-16 17:41:04 UTC
My home is crypted and it has its own partition mounted there (/home/calvaris/). I have other partition mounted under /opt and a symbolic link from /home/calvaris/devel -> /opt. I created one empty file under /opt (name opt) and other under /home/user/devel (name devel) and sent them to the bin. They don't show up in the bin and they are not deleted when I empty it but bin content is:

$ find .
.
./info
./info/devel.trashinfo
./info/devel.2.trashinfo
./files
./files/devel
./files/devel.2

I think this happens when you mount a partition after logging in. Then Nautilus cannot find the files under that partition's trash dir.

I have the same problem. I created a directory ~/crypt encrypted with EncFS (mounted through FUSE). If I move ~/crypt/foo into trash, it is moved to ~/crypt/.Trash-500, but it does not show up in Nautilus' trash view. Therefore it can't be emptied or restored using GUI.

On the other hand, if I use "trash-list" command, it correctly shows me deleted ~/crypt/foo file. It is therefore a bug in Nautilus.

I suspect that all filesystems mounted through FUSE could experience the same problem.

Gnome 3.2, Fedora 16
