Patch to avoid the window collapse

The Shapes example doesn't work.

I'm attaching two patches (which only one I created) that brings the example to a working state, however the mouse event are not detected so it still needs fixing.

I'm sorry.

the Python GtkGLExt bindings have been archived because they are unmaintained — the last release was done 11 years ago, and the repository has seen very little activity since then.

GTK+ 3.16, release on February 2015, will have OpenGL support out of the box, and will be immediately available through the Python bindings.
