It would be nice with an option when right-clicking a link file that says "go to original" and which opens the directory containing the original file that the link points to.

Instead of (or in addition to) adding another action to the context menu, the "go
to original" action could be added in-line to the properties dialog, where the the "Link Target" field already exists.
