GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 60330
font settings should apply to new objects
Last modified: 2008-04-13 15:49:01 UTC
The tool palette in Dia allows one to pick the edge and fill colors for new objects. Since some shapes also have text in them, it would be apropriate to have a font swatch on the tool palette which applies to new objects. At present, the user must change the font of each new shape as it is created if the default isn't suitable, which is tedious.
Mass reassign of bugs to dia-maint@bugzilla.gnome.org.
The text should probably take the current foreground font instead of just black. Or else it should be settable in the defaults dialog.
I accept there is a problem but i dont like the proposed solution. (and i dont much like that the reporter is using an obfuscated address in bugzilla and does not care to follow up on his bug reports). I dont like doing this in the tool pallete at all. Using the current foreground colour makes sense. Changing the summary to describe the problem rather than the proposed solution (feel free to rephrase if you have a better way of saying it). This is just another example of how much the programmed objects suck. OLD summary: Add font setting to tool palette NEW Summary: font settings should apply to new objects
Tracking in gdb, it seems that the color disappears (!) in diagram_tree.c:get_object_name() (!!!). Must track further.
