Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2009-11-18 01:43:05 UTC
Example: butterfly supports A/V chats, but haze doesn't. However, the user has no way to know what is used when creating MSN accounts. In this case, empathy should suggest upgrading msn accounts to butterfly if butterfly is present.

Butterfly already overrides haze at account creation time, but then there's no guarantee the user has the proper plugins (butterfly) installed at creation time. For example, it seems ubuntu uses haze by default, and telepathy-gnome depends on telepathy-haze.

Actually we are getting rid of Butterfly (bug #663829) so this isn't needed any more.
