This is related to the CUPS backend.
I really don't understand why, but evince does not show the Staple option in
the printing dialog. It did in Ubuntu 9.04. Other GTK2.0 applications do show
the option. The PPD contains a UI with the name Staple that allows the
selection of a position for staples.

This bug is fixed. I don't know why. Maybe an evince package update, maybe a cups update...

If nobody else is experiencing this problem, this bug report can be closed.
