GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 599891
Program still crashes on Account Report and Account Transaction Report
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:30:09 UTC
Overview: "Fix #593906: Fix crash at creating account report Patch by Mike Alexander" This bug was supposedly fixed in 2.3.6 but I'm still experiencing it in 2.3.7. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Create a new account. (I used the default settings right up until the new account was created - no modifications made) 2) Opened "Cash in Wallet" account. (Specifically, double-clicked "Cash in Wallet" account under Assets>Current Assets>Cash in Wallet) 3) With "Cash in Wallet" account active in main window, selected "Account Report". (Under Reports>Account Reports) 4) Repeated process with "Account Transaction Report" after crash. (Started up GnuCash again). Same results happened (program crashed). Actual Results: The application crashed. More specifically, the whole program window just disappeared without any error messages. Expected Results: The required report should have been created. Build Date & Platform: svn r18372 on 2009-10-06. Windows Vista Home Edition Basic. Additional Builds and Platforms: Not tested. Additional Information: On restarting GnuCash, an error message pops up after initial loading: "GnuCash could not obtain the lock for xml:C:\Program Files\gnucash\bin\Saved file\Jason-Personal. That database may be in use by another user, in which case you should not open the database. What would you like to do?"
The patch for #593906 was checked in on October 26 as r18396, long after 2.3.7 was released. It should be fixed in 2.3.8.
Oh, alright. Thanks for the information.
