Description Willie Walker 2009-10-20 21:01:00 UTC
One can activate the SlowKeys and StickyKeys features using well known X server hot keys: press and hold a shift key for 8 seconds to enable/disable SlowKeys and press a shift key 5 times in a row to enable StickyKeys. (MouseKeys can be enabled/disabled by pressing Shift+Alt+NumLock).

When one uses the X server hot keys to enable/disable keyboard accessibility features, the associated checkbox in the a11y dialog does not change to reflect the new state.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
