Description komputes 2009-10-07 21:24:52 UTC
In GNOME 2.28.0 (using Ubuntu 9.10 karmic) gnome-volume-control doesn't allow the user to to customize the sound to a wav file (for example). There are only themes and no way to easily create/specify theme sound effects.

Please note that this is not related to login/logout sounds which are handled by GDM and specified in https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/437429
