GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 597558
"GNOME Handbook of Writing Software Documentation" has a link to a porn site
Last modified: 2010-05-18 11:15:34 UTC
Hi! I was reading "GNOME Handbook of Writing Software Documentation"[1], when I found in "Getting Started Writing GNOME Documentation"[2] page a link called "Lampadas", that goes to the website "http://www.lampadas.org" which is somewhat a porn site. I think it isn't normal, and that link shouldn't be there. Thanks! :-) [1] http://library.gnome.org/devel/gdp-handbook/stable/ [2] http://library.gnome.org/devel/gdp-handbook/stable/gettingstarted.html.en
Thanks for your report, I am reassigning the bug report to gnome-devel-docs, where that documentation is written.
Um, wow. For what it's worth, here's what is supposed to be behind that link, courtesy of the Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/20060402213011/http://lampadas.org/ I've removed that entire section. It's all cruft that has no relevance today. Thanks. And sorry.
I was going to report the same. Even if it has been fixed, an old version is still present in a gnome.org subdomain. See: http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gdp/handbook/gdp-handbook/ar01s03.html
Well, this is no longer a gnome-devel-docs issue, reassigning to the website component, so a sysadmin can remove the files and create the appropriate HTTP redirection.
htaccess and everything is in a module. Files were removed a while ago. I've removed them on the servers. IMO no need for redirects.
