the red items are what I want to not be displayed

Sometimes I work on sekret projects. When I screenshot gnome-shell, I don't
have the option to clear the recent documents list, or even just hide a couple
of files. Screenshot shows problem.

Needs design.  Possibilities:

* Right click menu to remove a single item (is this permanent?)
* Right click menu to show a dialog which allows you to pick a time period (clear the last day/month/all)
* Allow collapsing the area
* Have a virtual hughsie's mom program which stops him from downloading those pictures in the first place

[Ignore files of this name]

or/and

[Ignore files in this directory]

Yes, that would be good. For instance I have music playing on a big playlist all day, and I don't want that to fill up my history as it stops me finding the file that I was editing yesterday without scrolling back three pages. Ignoring all files in Music/ or *.mp3 would solve this problem nicely for me.

> * Allow collapsing the area

Solves my original problem I guess, and allows me to take the screenshot. If you provide this option then it still would be useful to be able to clear all/some of the entries.

Ha! I said projects, not pictures! :-)

We could at least easily add a new iconButton in the expanded view for each item that would remove it from , e.g. a "sweep" icon.

Yeah, showing files and very personal activity trail information there turned out to be a mistake. We're removing it for that and other reasons. We'll likely address this differently when doing another kind of document access in the overview.
