Description Eric 2009-10-01 08:18:24 UTC
The language detection doesn´t work.
I use severalt computers in three different languages and working language detection is a myth.
I hope You skip this idea and allow users to change the language normally in [Settings] (on the fly if possible!).

In the manual
http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/C/gimp-fire-up.html#gimp-concepts-running-language
there is no advise on how to correct a wrong language in Vista.
(the XP advice doesn't apply)

the bat-file solution works, but it's not good enough.
If I start GIMP by clicking on a graphics file, I still get the wrong language.

Keep up the good work.

Setting the LANG environment variable doesn't work?

Resolving as DUPLICATE.
