Description Justin J Stark 2009-09-29 17:57:11 UTC
The notification area is for notifications, not for applications to sit.

GNote should be an applet for gnome-panel rather than an application that sits in the notification area. Some distributions (ubuntu in particular) have been doing a lot of work to clean up the notification area so it doesn't become messy like in windows. GNote is an applet and does not even provide notifications. Please get it out of my notification area.

Gnote is an applet since version 0.3.0. Just add it to the GNOME panel like any other applet.
