Description Erland 2009-09-26 21:44:06 UTC
When opening a new tab (via menu or keyboard) the focus should go to the address bar.

This is the behaviour in most (if not all) other major browsers, so it's a particularly confusing/annoying/difficult transition from another browser to have this unexpected behaviour.

I don't have any references here (sorry) but I'd venture an educated guess that the most common behaviour for a user when opening a new tab would be to type in a URL.
