GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 596114
image refs are relative to curdir, not .svg file
Last modified: 2017-12-13 17:36:47 UTC
/home/carl/dev/py/vid/djcon/djc09b.svg has <image sodipodi:absref="/home/carl/dev/py/vid/djcon/djc09_logo.png" xlink:href="djc09_logo.png" /> I move both files to ~/vid, cd ~/vid, rsvg djc09b.svg djc09b.png = images are included. cd ~, rsvg ~/vid/djc09b.svg djc09b.png = images are not included. (bad) move the svg somewhere else, cd to dir with image, it includes the image cd vid; mv djc09b.svg ~; rsvg ~/djc09b.svg djc09b.png personally, I would consider this bad.
Which viewer do you use? rsvg-view?
I don't quite understand, but maybe inkscape is the answer. that is what I used to edit the .svg. To view the .png in my example I am using the linux display command. This bug is causing me a problem adding title slides to videos, I use melt to render .svg into 3 seconds of video. you can see an example at http://pycon.blip.tv/file/3359645/ The 3 company logo's are the images that came up missing.
I am sorry, I misread your comment. You actually described that you used rsvg command. But I cannot reproduce the issue with librsvg-2.26.0.
