No. The presented error message was caused by a mis-installation (obex-data-server instead of obexd). See http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=557678

To reproduce them after installation fix, I have to do ugly thing (killall obex-client).

But I'll report any further problems with OBEX.

You need both for a working GNOME desktop. obex-data-server is used by gnome-user-share and gvfs, obexd is used by bluetooth-sendto.

If you can reproduce with both installed (you need to disable the server part of obexd, using --disable-server to configure), please file a separate bug.
