Description Jason Clinton 2009-09-12 06:05:58 UTC
Currently doesn't save the UI setting or render the blocks to the field in the position that they will fall in to. Just need to implement some logic to bring it back.

Jason, can you please fix this again? If you allow known regressions into the GIT tree you should be responsible enough to fix them in a timely fashion. I don't mean to rant, and I understand that you're probably as busy as the next guy, but it would be so sweet to have this for GNOME 2.30 / Lucid Lynx.
Comment 3 Ori Avtalion 2010-04-06 13:54:32 UTC
Perhaps the best fix for now is to remove the setting from the UI, and add it back when the feature is implemented.
Comment 4 Jason Clinton 2010-04-06 18:43:07 UTC
I'm going to draw two red lines that hug the sides of the falling piece and run the full length of the vertical height of the board. The old way was too easy. This should be a quick hack.
Comment 5 Ori Avtalion 2010-04-06 19:51:12 UTC
In that case, have you considered simply drawing a (static) grid to provide similar functionality?

While a red line hugging each side of the falling piece will show the drop zone of the piece it will not show what the piece will look like when it gets to the bottom. Most users will expect to see what the piece will look like with the others when it lands. See attached...
