I'm suspecting bug 594797. Its just been fixed in git master. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 594797 ***
2.28.0 still has this crash on start
In the bug #594797 there is proposed fix for this issue.
The patch Michal refers to has been applied to both master and gnome-2-28. This should be fixed in 2.28.1. Please reopen the bug if this turns out not to be the case.
