Description David Woodhouse 2009-08-17 11:09:22 UTC
I selected an email in my inbox, which I'd earlier sent to myself. I clicked 'reply', and I added an external, non-Exchange in Cc before sending it.

When I composed the email, the address in the To: header looked correct.

After hitting 'send', I received a bounce. The To: header in what was _sent_ apparently looked like this:

To: dwoodhou
        <IMCEAEX-_O=INTEL_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GRdwoodhou@intel.com>

The mail _was_ received by the external account, but there were problems with that too (other than the strange address in the To: header).

Firstly, it lacked References: and In-Reply-To: headers (perhaps because Evolution didn't see the Message-Id: on the message to which it was replying; see bug #592057).

Secondly, it seemed to have an unwanted application/ms-tnef attachment.
Comment 1 David Woodhouse 2009-08-17 14:25:10 UTC
The lack of References: header is fixed in 0.27.5, but the strange destination address on reply and the ms-tnef attachment still persist.

David,

Exchange should have generated a Non Delivery Report. paste the NDR code here ? It would be something like "5.1.1"
