GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 591887
Bad strings for translation
Last modified: 2009-08-22 19:54:01 UTC
Please describe the problem: Anjuta contains a number of strings that are difficult to translate correctly for different reasons. Adding translator comments can avoid most such errors and save a lot of time for translators. I have also taken the liberty of pointing out some typos. Here are some entries from the Anjuta master po-file: #: ../plugins/glade/anjuta-glade.glade.h:4 msgid "Associate" Verb or noun? Context? #: ../plugins/glade/anjuta-glade.glade.h:13 msgid "on_widget_signal" and #: ../plugins/glade/anjuta-glade.glade.h:14 msgid "widget_signal_cb" Surely this should not be translated. #: ../plugins/glade/plugin.c:2233 #, c-format msgid "" "To avoid this messages turn off \"Insert handler on edit\" flag in " "Preferences->Glade GUI Designer" typo: this messages (also: could we get some %s substitutions to avoid looking up the names of other labels?) #: ../plugins/tools/variable.c:103 #| msgid "Current selection" msgid "Currently selection in editor" msgstr "" 'Currently selection'? #: ../plugins/symbol-db/plugin.c:321 #, fuzzy msgid "Tag _Implementation" Do you tag (verb) an implementation, or does this refer to the implementation of a tag (noun)? #. Need to run make clean before #: ../plugins/build-basic-autotools/plugin.c:1499 msgid "" "Using this new configuration, need to to remove the default one. Do you want " "to do it ?" Space before questionmark. Also 'need to to remove' Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Thanks for your report, I think I have fixed every point and committed the changes.
