Description Victor Gavrish 2009-08-14 12:30:54 UTC
I don't care if it's hidden in gconf-editor or even a text file; I just want to be able to disable this damn "feature". There is a reason no other player does this...

I think Totem is great; but this peculiarity makes it totally unusable for me. I just can't get used to it; it seems totally backwards thinking; it looks like an intentional bug to me. Maybe I'm a minority, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

The reason is usually because they didn't think it through ;)

It's in the FAQ:

Maybe so, maybe not. And I've read that FAQ, and I understand why the feature was introduced, but I still disagree that it's useful. Moreover, I find it annoying, and there is no way to disable it. And as I said, I'm not the only one. So maybe it's not such a great, universally accepted feature as you think? I'm not asking for a change in the default behavior; I'm just asking for a way to disable it. If there is even 10% of people who feel the same (which I find a reasonable number), that's still 10% of disgruntled users who will not use Totem on that basis and that basis alone.
