Description Michael Bienia 2009-08-11 11:27:48 UTC
Please describe the problem:
[Forward of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-utils/+bug/411816]

I've a dual-screen setup with a 17" TFT monitor (1280x1024) and a 24" TFT monitor (1920x1200). This leaves a small invisible area below the 17" TFT monitor. When taking a screenshot of the whole desktop this invisible area is set to black. But when taking a screenshot of a maximized application on the 24" TFT monitor I get the same black area in the screenshot even though the application is completely visible.

Steps to reproduce:

Does this happen every time?

Other information:
I'm running Ubuntu karmic and gnome-utils is 2.27.2-0ubuntu1.

I believe this is the same bug as https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=587101 . I'm going to add a patch to that bug which I wrote to disable masking for non-full-screen screenshots.
